The 2024/25 season that just ended, the Brazilian striker played in 33 Premier League matches, scoring 15 goals. While the previous season he scored 12 goals in the league.

“The signing of Matheus was one of our main targets for the summer. And we are delighted to have been able to close this deal so early in the window.” Wilcox said of the new signing.

“He has proven himself to be one of the most exciting and effective strikers in the Premier League. Having played for Wolves and previously in Spain and Germany.”

“He has all the attributes we are looking for to build a strong, dynamic and exciting team that can challenge for big trophies.”

With pre-season preparations looming, the club’s management is under pressure to finalise key signings early.

This approach appears to be paying off, as the Red Devils secure promising talents ahead of their rivals.

Manchester United have now confirmed the completion of the transfer of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, marking a significant addition to their forward line.
